Sterlina was in foster care for over ten years. She had multiple foster home placements before entering her current scattered-site transitional housing placement. She and her son reside in a one-bedroom apartment, which she has neatly decorated to reflect her individual taste. Sterlina enjoys watching movies, cooking, writing, and spending time with her son. Sterlina is a hard worker and has recently completed her coursework and passed the state exam to become a certified Phlebotomist. She does a great job of parenting, managing motherhood, and balancing work.

Sterlina is only concerned about providing a good first Christmas for her son, Ta'vierre, who is seven months old. She has worked with parenting programs and is intentional about gifts that can not only provide enjoyment, but also promote her son's motor development and physical health. She believes that her request will do just that.
