People say Damon reminds them of Dash, the boy from the movie The Incredibles, who has super speed. Damon is constantly on the go. He loves running and playing with his foster siblings and neighborhood children. His foster parent shared that at age 6, Damon began organizing and running kickball games for all the children in the neighborhood. The foster parent shared that Damon's ability to organize and run a large game for kids twice his age is impressive, but his inclusiveness to all the children around him and his sportsmanship are what set him apart from his peers. Damon is resilient. Since entering foster care, he has demonstrated bravery and kindness and is extremely protective of his younger sister. Damon is currently thriving in his foster placement.

Damon receives therapy to help manage stress and trauma related to being in foster care. After his last therapy session, Damon came up with his own list of coping skills to manage emotions and specifically mentioned a dumpling-shaped squishy toy that he can squeeze when he feels upset. Damon is actively engaged in his therapy and wants to achieve his goals of learning to manage strong emotions.
