Richard is a cheerful and thoughtful individual who greatly enjoys a variety of activities. He has a passion for collecting and cleaning coins, cooking, and learning new things. He also loves playing outside and engaging in card and puzzle games with friends. Recently, Richard moved to a new foster home, and while he's putting in a lot of effort to adjust to this change, it's still a challenge for him. Despite these difficulties, he manages to maintain a big smile that reflects his positive spirit.

Richard has been in his current foster home for just over a year now. He has made significant progress during this time. Richard has developed healthy coping skills, improved his communication abilities, and learned to emotionally regulate himself when he feels upset. He has an Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and attends a Behavioral Education School, where he works on his speech and language skills, social skills, and receives support from a therapist he meets with regularly. Outside of school, Richard participates in a program specifically designed for children affected by familial substance use. He has been making steady progress and has built positive peer relationships through this program. Richard has expressed a wish for Yu-Gi-Oh cards, which would provide him with a great opportunity to practice taking turns, teamwork, and connecting with his peers.
