Zakary is a creative and friendly youth who always brings a smile, even in the face of life’s challenges. He has been with DCFS for more than four months, and this will be his first holiday spent away from his family. Zakary has a slight learning disability, and he often shares that he feels different from others, but he’s just like any other youth. He enjoys socializing with his classmates and playing soccer when he isn’t at school. Zakary also has a passion for collecting Hot Wheels, listening to music, and going on walks.

Zakary has dreams of attending college after he graduates from high school. He has shared that he wants to learn and perfect his typing skills and learn more computer skills. Without owning a computer or laptop, he would love to receive one this holiday season. Zakary is a senior and will be graduating in the spring. What a great time to start mastering skills.
