Jershawn dedicates all of his time and energy to earning his GED and fully committing to his educational program. At the same time, he is participating in an independent living program as he prepares to transition out of foster care and into a place of his own. Throughout his life, Jershawn has faced many challenges within the foster care system, including multiple placements across different cities and towns, requiring him to repeatedly start over and build new connections. Through it all, he has found comfort and peace in his music and the movies he loves.
