After spending eight years in foster care and enduring extensive abuse, Maria is finally reunited with her grandmother, who has been granted legal guardianship. Despite her painful past, Maria has found healing through working with animals and volunteering at a local shelter, where her empathy and dedication shine. Committed to her education and driven by a dream, Maria aspires to become a veterinarian and provide affordable pet care in her community. Now living with her grandmother, she is embracing a new beginning and building a future filled with hope and purpose.

Maria gives her time and heart to animals who cannot speak for themselves, regularly volunteering at a local animal shelter to provide care, comfort, and love. After long days spent on her feet helping animals feel safe, she hopes for a simple pair of Crocs to help her relax and unwind at home. Comfortable footwear would allow her to rest and recharge, so she can continue showing up for the animals who rely on her.
