She was neglected by both of her parents. She was placed with her grandmother at the age of 11 yrs old. She is doing well in school; there have been some struggles, but she works through them. She is participating in basketball and track. She is interested in learning how to play golf. She enjoys arts and crafts. She is in the choir at church and enjoys singing.

Lay is asking for this electric scooter so she is able to get back and forth to school and after-school activities. She wants to be more independent. This will also help with her self-esteem, showing her independence by using the scooter. When she gets a job, she wants to get back and forth to work.
