This youth has suffered many tragic moments in her life. Abandoned by her mother at birth, she was raised by her stepsiblings and stepmother in her country. Chose to run away with her stepsister to Los Angeles, she figured out that she had bitten off more than she could handle. Ended up being given to a family friend she did not know, ran away from that person, but turned herself in once she was aware that her behavior could affect her legalization process. This young lady has no family in the states; she and her older stepsister, who came with her, are astringent. This youth has suffered abuse from most of the close people who cared for her and does not know the joys of someone celebrating her birthday or holiday traditions that are happy. She is a kind person who follows all the rules of life and society. She is a very unselfish young lady who strives for perfection and honor.

Despite everything she has been through, Yessenia still strives to create a successful life for herself. This iPad would support her to make note-taking in school easier. This will help Yessenia with learning English as well.
