Dannette is a single mother who goes to college part-time and also works part-time as an aide in the high school district. She loves her job, but she has been off work for a few months due to an accident-related injury. Her daughter is 4 years old, and they have a beautiful bond. You can tell that Dannette loves being a mom. Dannette is a recent survivor of Domestic violence and is still working towards finding stable housing. We are so proud of her for her bravery and optimism. Dannette was in foster care for a couple of years before returning home at 16.

Danette's TV broke a few months ago. She has been going through medical problems that resulted in surgery and caused her to lose over a month of work. Replacing the broken TV has not been a financial priority. During this time, she has been able to continue as a part-time student. However, it has been hard to keep her daughter occupied while doing schoolwork. Danette rents a room so her 6-year-old daughter can't roam freely around the house, and having a TV again would really make Danette happy.
