Syruss has been in foster care for several years and has experienced multiple placements before aging out of the system. Despite this transition, he continues to receive support from the state to help him adjust to independent living. Recently, Syruss graduated from high school and began an internship. He performed so well that the business offered him full-time employment. Now, Syruss is eager to live on his own and has secured a place to do so. Although he has faced many challenges in his life, he works hard not to let them affect him negatively. Syruss is also interested in learning a trade, such as welding or mechanics.

Syruss is setting up his new apartment on his own, without a support system. Currently working a full-time job to support himself, he’s focused on making his living space comfortable. One of his main priorities is to find a futon, as he needs a place to sit and relax after a long day.
