After coming to America, Josthyn spent time in foster care and then endured three years of homelessness. Recently, he and his family have finally been housed, giving them a place they can truly call home. However, they currently have no furniture or household essentials to make their new space comfortable. Despite these challenges, Josthyn is a full-time student and also works a part-time job to help support his parents. His determination and resilience shine through as he balances school, work, and family responsibilities, striving to build a stable and hopeful future.

A grocery card would help Josthyn tremendously at this time. Now that he is housed, he’s finally able to start rebuilding stability in his life. While he and his family work toward affording a refrigerator, a grocery card would allow him to purchase essentials like water, snacks, and non-perishable foods. Because he does not receive government assistance, this support would make a meaningful difference in helping him stay nourished and supported during this transition.
