Guadalupe is a young girl who was placed in foster care in 2016. She lived in three different homes until her last resource home obtained legal guardianship. Her resource mother then relinquished legal guardianship because she was moving to Mexico. As a result, Guadalupe was placed back in foster care. Despite all the changes, Guadalupe has been doing well overall. Although she experiences frustration at times, she was able to return to a previous foster parent with whom she had lived before.

Recently, Guadalupe mentioned that she needs new shoes. Specifically, she wishes for a pair of Vans. She shared that Vans are a popular fashion trend at her high school and that having a pair would help her feel included and connected with her peers.
