Alyssa is a bright and expressive young girl who currently lives in a foster home. She entered care at age ten after her father, who had been her primary caregiver, returned to prison. Despite the challenges she’s faced, Alyssa continues to shine through her love of dance. Dancing is how she expresses herself and finds freedom from the heaviness of her past. She dreams of one day becoming a professional dancer, performing in movies or on stage at concerts, where she can share her talent and emotions with the world.

Alyssa is asking for a peacoat to wear this winter because she currently doesn’t have a coat, and the weather is getting colder. Having a warm, reliable peacoat would help her stay comfortable and protected when she’s outside—whether she’s going to school, work, or running errands.
