Grocery help for Carmello this winter

Carmello, 19 years old, OR

The Lost & Found Institute

Carmello grew up in a kinship placement with his great-aunt after years of instability in various foster care placements. His early childhood was marked by constant change and a deep longing for a sense of home. When he moved in with his great aunt, things began to change for the better; she provided the consistency and understanding he needed. Music became his powerful outlet for expression, allowing him to sing, write, and dance as a way to make sense of the world. Whether jotting down lyrics or dancing in his room, music gives him a sense of freedom and joy. Despite his challenges, Carmello continues to find strength and beauty through his art. His story highlights the healing that can occur when young people are given the space to express themselves and receive love for who they are.

Carmello needs help with groceries so he can have food to cook and eat throughout the week. With expenses adding up, getting basic grocery items has become difficult, and this support would help ensure he has consistent meals at home. Being able to buy essentials like fresh produce, pantry staples, and simple ingredients would make a big difference in his day-to-day life. Having groceries available would reduce stress and allow Carmello to focus on getting through the week without worrying about where his next meal will come from. This help would provide not just food, but a sense of stability and relief during a challenging time.
