Warm clothing for Diego
Diego, 3 years old, NJ |

KFS&CDiego is a vibrant and friendly young man who lights up any room with his energy. Currently, he receives 20 hours of therapy each week to help him navigate the challenges of autism, including managing tantrums, socialization, and other essential skills. Due to sensory sensitivities, he occasionally experiences sudden tears, head banging, or hitting, which are behaviors he struggles to control. Diego's family is deeply committed to supporting him and is working closely with his support team to help him thrive and better integrate into society. As young parents, they are undertaking specialized training to equip themselves with the tools needed to raise a child with a disability. Despite their low income and the challenges they face, they are determined to provide Diego with the best care possible. At his core, Diego is a charming young man who loves to share hugs, play with puzzles, stack toys, enjoy trips to the playground, and savor his favorite fruits. With continued support and understanding, Diego and his family are on a journey filled with hope and love, striving for a brighter future together.
While we know the holidays have passed, there is still time to make this wish come true! Diego needs warm sweaters and sweatshirts. As someone with autism, Diego experiences sensory sensitivities, and wearing comfortable clothing is essential for him to feel secure and relaxed. Unfortunately, he currently doesn't own any warm sweaters or sweatshirts. Having cozy garments would not only keep him warm but also provide him with a sense of comfort and belonging. These items would enable him to enjoy outdoor activities, participate comfortably in family gatherings, and feel more at ease in his everyday life.
