Maecyn is a young person who has recently begun to focus on themselves and their future. They have a passion for arts and crafts and are quite artistic. Maecyn also enjoys reading as a way to relax and unwind. They love spending time in the library area of the residential facility where they live. Leaving their home was challenging for Maecyn, as they faced numerous mental health challenges while trying to manage school. However, they are absolutely looking forward to the future, excited to explore higher education and eager for what lies ahead.

Maecyn is entering an important transition as they prepare to move from a residential facility into life on their own. Having their own phone will be essential to help them navigate this next step toward independence. A phone will let them stay in touch with employers, caseworkers, and supportive adults, and it will help them apply for jobs, schedule interviews, manage appointments, and respond to important calls and messages. It will also give them access to online resources like housing applications, transportation tools, budgeting apps, and community supports. Most importantly, a phone will help Maecyn stay connected with friends and trusted adults, reducing isolation during this big change. For them, a phone is more than a convenience, itโ€™s a tool that supports safety, confidence, and independence as they step into adulthood.
