Central Missouri Foster Care & Adoption AssociationMaecyn is a young person who has recently begun to focus on themselves and their future. They have a passion for arts and crafts and are quite artistic. Maecyn also enjoys reading as a way to relax and unwind. They love spending time in the library area of the residential facility where they live. Leaving their home was challenging for Maecyn, as they faced numerous mental health challenges while trying to manage school. However, they are absolutely looking forward to the future, excited to explore higher education and eager for what lies ahead.
Maecyn wishes for phone minutes. Three months of phone minutes would give them important support as they move from a residential facility to living on their own. Having reliable phone service would let them stay in touch with employers, caseworkers, medical providers, and other supports without worry. It would also help them handle job interviews, work schedules, housing questions, and appointments that need quick responses. Prepaid phone minutes would reduce stress and give them peace of mind, so they can focus on learning life skills, finding a job, and adjusting to new responsibilities. For Maecyn, these first few months are very important, and having phone minutes would help them feel safe, connected, and confident as they step into adulthood.
