Summer is a bright, full-time college student who works hard to make the most of every opportunity. Summer advocates for others who have experienced foster care like her and hopes to one day become a foster parent herself. Her kindness, sincerity, and contagious smile brighten the day of anyone who meets her. Summer is truly a light in this world!

Summer’s birthday is quickly approaching. While she is excited to turn a year older, she is also experiencing heartbreak after being separated from her fiancé by ICE just before Thanksgiving. She lost both her home and the person she cares deeply about during this difficult time. Although Summer considers herself blessed and remains grateful for the support she has received, this transition has been emotionally challenging. Receiving her favorite pair of shoes for her birthday would help restore a sense of normalcy and bring a much-needed smile as she continues to move forward with strength and resilience.
