She is also on track to become the first student from her college’s foster youth support program to earn a doctoral degree, remaining true to her goal of helping change the narrative surrounding foster youth and higher education. Beyond her academic achievements, Krystalyn is a passionate advocate for animals and actively volunteers. In her free time, she enjoys reading, making bracelets, working with beads, planting, and cooking.
