Voices for Children - San DiegoBrody and his older brother were removed from the care of their parents a year ago after both being subjected to serious physical abuse. Since that time, Brody and his brother have been placed in a loving and nurturing foster home, where they are both recovering from their injuries and healing physically and emotionally. Brody is described as a lovebug who wants to cuddle all the time and loves giving hugs to anyone he meets. Brody also loves to follow his older brother around and try to do everything he does.
Brody is continuing to heal and improve his gross motor skills after suffering several leg fractures before being placed in the care of his foster parents. While he is making progress in occupational therapy, he still experiences some stiffness when walking. One of Brody's favorite activities is being rocked by his foster parents or being pushed in a swing. His foster parents believe that a rocking horse would provide him with the enjoyment of both rocking and swinging, while also helping to strengthen his independence and core muscles.
