Strength Based Community Change (SBCC)Belen is a smart young woman shaped by her experiences as a former foster youth. Although the foster care system impacted her early life, those experiences have also strengthened her and helped develop impactful traits such as resilience, adaptability, independence, and emotional intelligence.
Belen has been in school full-time at a community college for the past 2 years and is currently seeking certification for her esthetician license. She would benefit from a new laptop because her previous one, which she used for school, broke. A new laptop would allow her to complete her schoolwork efficiently, access online resources and programs reliably, and stay on top of her assignments. It would also reduce frustration and interruptions, giving her the tools and support she needs to succeed academically.
