Emma's mother struggles with substance abuse and was unable to keep her safe. As a result, Emma experienced neglect and was placed in the custody of the Ohio Department of Human Services (ODHS). Her grandmother applied for guardianship, and Emma currently resides with her. She is doing well in school and is planning to attend college. Emma is also a great role model for her younger siblings and actively participates in sports at school.

Emma is hoping to get a desk to create a dedicated study space for her time in college. Having a designated area for her homework will enhance her focus and productivity, ultimately setting her up for a successful future. She's genuinely excited about this next step in her journey and is eager to make the most of her college experience.
