Belen is a smart young woman shaped by her experiences as a former foster youth. Although the foster care system impacted her early life, those experiences have also strengthened her and helped develop impactful traits such as resilience, adaptability, independence, and emotional intelligence.

A wax kit would be a huge help for Belen, giving her the chance to practice outside of class and really build her confidence. Having hands-on time at home will help her sharpen her skills, get comfortable with professional tools, and reinforce proper sanitation techniques — all of which are so important for her state board exams. Being able to practice with her own kit will also better prepare her for real-world work in the field and support her as she works toward earning her esthetician license.
