Bernie is a very sweet and active young man. He enjoys playing with his family and neighbors, as well as spending time with his baby brother, who no longer lives with him. After a firework incident a few years ago, Bernie has a prosthetic eye, but that doesn't slow him down! He loves soccer and baseball! Bernie has also started reading chapter books in school and is excelling in all of his subjects. His favorites are physical education and math!

Bernie is requesting a Five Below gift card so he can choose fun items that reflect his interests and preferences. Being able to select his own belongings allows Bernie to express himself and adds excitement to his day. These items will help him feel more comfortable and settled by giving him the opportunity to personalize his space and engage in activities that bring him joy. This gift will foster a sense of normalcy, happiness, and belonging as he continues to adjust to his foster home.
