Emma's mother struggles with substance abuse and was unable to keep her safe. As a result, Emma experienced neglect and was placed in the custody of the Ohio Department of Human Services (ODHS). Her grandmother applied for guardianship, and Emma currently resides with her. She is doing well in school and is planning to attend college. Emma is also a great role model for her younger siblings and actively participates in sports at school.

Emma is eagerly looking forward to starting college and is requesting a table and chairs to use for dining in her apartment. She wants these items to help her set up her new living space once she graduates. Emma is really excited about this next chapter in her life.
