Tasiya needs a new pair of sneakers for school. The only pair she currently has is worn out, with the soles damaged, and she has been made fun of by her classmates for being poor and wearing such old sneakers. One day, she came home in tears because of the mean comments from her schoolmates. Getting a new pair of sneakers would help Tasiya significantly, as she currently only has the one worn-out pair. It would also prevent her from feeling upset at school and would keep her feet warm during this time of year.
