Generation Hope - DCPaola is a single mother of two toddlers. She has no family or support besides the help from Generation Hope (a nonprofit organization that supports teen parents through college). She is currently in school studying criminal justice and is endeavoring to become a homicide detective. Paola and her children love going to the playground, Chuck E Cheese, and on Sundays, they enjoy watching football games.
Paola is a hardworking single mother with two young children who is currently attending community college, where she is studying criminology. This month, she is unable to cover the expenses for laundry for herself and her children due to unexpected costs related to her housing. At the moment, Paola is between jobs and is actively seeking more stable and consistent employment. Her primary focus is on supporting her children’s education, providing for their basic needs, and continuing her studies. With some support, she can overcome this financial challenge, keep searching for work, attend her classes, and ensure that her children have clean clothes to wear. Paola’s family and close connections live in Puerto Rico, so she is on her own in supporting her children. She relies on partner organizations like Generation Hope to assist her with her studies, academic growth, and social-emotional support. This is part 1 of 2.
