Greater Oregon Behavioral Health, IncGracie witnessed domestic violence between her mother and her mother's boyfriend, who was arrested in front of her. She also observed drug use in the home. Her father was arrested for drug-related activities when she was just two years old. The house was often dirty and poorly maintained. When Gracie was four, she was removed from her home and placed with her grandparents. She spent a year in their care while her mother worked on her addiction and attended parenting classes. After that time, Gracie was returned to her mother but was abandoned again, leading her to live with her paternal grandparents. Gracie has a history of depression and self-harm, which she is addressing through counseling. She also struggles with severe abandonment issues that impact her daily life. Despite these challenges, Gracie loves sports, particularly volleyball and softball. Additionally, she has a passion for cosmetology and is considering it as a career option after she finishes high school.
Gracie has been asking for a TV for her room. Previously, she had one that she used, but her grandmother, who is currently undergoing cancer treatment, needed it because there are times when she must quarantine. Gracie understands the situation and has been really supportive. Now, she hopes to have a TV in her room so she can enjoy watching movies. Gracie is a very thoughtful young lady who doesn’t ask for much, and having this TV would truly make her happy.
