Jenessa is an outgoing young woman who enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She recently graduated from high school and aspires to become a professional photographer. Jenessa is currently discussing with her support team how she can start her own photography business. She has a passion for capturing the beauty of nature but has recently stepped out of her comfort zone by taking pictures at weddings and special events. She found great joy in photographing people during these occasions. She is being supported by San Diego Youth Services.

Jenessa has always found peace and healing in working with her hands. For a long time, assembling Legos has helped her calm her mind and cope with depression. Now, as she navigates postpartum depression with her therapist's guidance, she's turning back to the coping strategies that used to ground her—and building with Legos is one of those. The Lego Disney 101 Dalmatians puppy set is especially meaningful to Jenessa. She loved the 101 Dalmatians movie as a child, and now she gets to share that joy with her son, creating a special connection between them. Sitting down to build this set provides her with a calming, focused activity—something that allows her to slow down, breathe, and gently lift herself out of tough moments.
