Makaelah is a devoted mother of three who pours her heart into her family. Alongside her role as a parent, she has a passion for collecting trinkets, vinyl records, and blind boxes, which reflect her eclectic tastes. Makaelah's journey has been shaped by her experiences in foster care, from the age of 8 until she turned 21. After that, she dedicated 12 years to working within the foster care system, striving to make a difference for others. However, for nearly two years now, Makaelah has faced the significant challenge of unemployment. She lost her job while pregnant and, coupled with her chronic pain and health issues, finding new employment has proven to be extremely difficult. Despite these challenges, her children remain her top priority, and she continues to put their needs first in everything she does.

Makaelah experiences chronic pain, which makes it challenging for her at night. Her daughter loves to sleep beside her, but Makaelah is working on sleep training her to rest in her own bed. To facilitate this transition, a daybed would be incredibly helpful, providing them both with comfort while allowing her daughter to gradually learn to sleep independently. Given Makaelah's limitations, continuing to share the same bed is becoming difficult for her.
