August has been in foster care since they were ten years old. They and their siblings were taken away from their biological parents due to neglect, witnessing domestic violence, and experiencing physical and emotional abuse. August lacks confidence and is fearful of becoming independent. They struggle with basic life skills and lack many experiences, such as going to amusement parks, the mall, or just being a teen.

August is excited to create their own Valentine's Day gifts for their friends. They believe it would be fun to put together a festive stationery pack. This way, they can make special cards for their classmates. They're looking forward to spreading some love and creativity this Valentine's Day!
