After aging out, she faced challenges securing stable housing and spent about six months living in a shelter. She has now secured a small studio apartment and is excited for this new chapter of independence. Maya remains focused on her education and future.
Maya is currently rebuilding her life while working toward her degree, and she has a very limited income at this time. She only has two pairs of shoes. One pair is blue, and the other is very worn out. Black shoes would allow Maya to look polished and feel confident. As she continues her education, looking presentable plays an important role in building self-confidence and making a strong impression. This wish would relieve a small but meaningful financial burden.
