Jemariza is a member of the Hualapai Nation and has been under the care of the Arizona Department of Child Safety for years, essentially growing up in the system. She faces challenges with her mental health, but receives a lot of support from various services and a great team. Jema is a lively, spirited, and outspoken young person who has a great sense of humor. She is focused on her future, making plans, and setting goals for herself.

Jemariza has consented to be adopted! What a wonderful celebration this is! She has been in the care of the Arizona Department of Child Safety for six years without any parental figures. Thanks to the hard work and dedication of her case manager, family members have been identified who are willing and able to provide Jema with a permanent home through adoption. It would be special to give Jema a keepsake for this significant day in the form of a plush blanket, personalized with her name and a favorite quote from her beloved movie, "Corpse Bride": "I've spent so long in the darkness that I'd almost forgotten how beautiful the moonlight is."
