Jennifer is a young adult who truly embodies resilience. Having faced significant hardships during her childhood and throughout her time in foster care, she remains dedicated to supporting other young people in similar situations. Recently, Jennifer escaped a violent and abusive relationship that left her with multiple injuries and chronic, unbearable pain. Unfortunately, she currently lacks mental health coverage and cannot afford the high costs of therapy. As a result, Jennifer has been struggling with increased depression, anxiety about her safety, and suicidal thoughts. However, she is actively working with a supportive team to access mental health services and protective resources. In the meantime, she has been encouraged to take a weekend getaway to a restful location. This break could help her ground herself, provide relief from her current environment, and allow her to prioritize her well-being. Jennifer is seeking support to cover the cost of a hotel for just two nights to facilitate this much-needed escape for her mental health.
