She entered care at age ten after her father, who had been her primary caregiver, returned to prison. Despite the challenges she’s faced, Alyssa continues to shine through her love of dance. Dancing is how she expresses herself and finds freedom from the heaviness of her past. She dreams of one day becoming a professional dancer, performing in movies or on stage at concerts, where she can share her talent and emotions with the world.
Alyssa is looking for a portrait of a lotus flower to hang in her room. The lotus is her favorite flower and holds special meaning for her; it serves as a reminder of growth, strength, and beauty even in difficult times. She wants a piece of art that she can look at every day, one that brings her peace and comfort in her personal space. Having this portrait in her room would mean a great deal to her, providing a sense of calm and adding a personal touch that reflects her identity and connections.
