Jenelle is a resilient young woman who has overcome numerous obstacles in her life. She moved into extended foster care housing after living in a group home, taking important steps toward independence. Despite facing significant challenges that have impacted her mental health, Jenelle is actively engaged in therapy, learning healthy coping skills to navigate life’s difficulties. She stayed on track to graduate high school, a milestone she once thought might never come, and she is genuinely excited about reaching it. While she has friends she can turn to during tough days, her siblings remain her greatest source of support, even though they live in different states. For fun, Jenelle enjoys creating art, which allows her to express herself and find joy in her everyday life. Jenelle's determination, creativity, and support system highlight her strength and promise for the future.

Jenna wishes for a toaster as she continues to settle into her first apartment and learn to live independently. Having recently moved from a group home into her own apartment, Jenna is excited to create a comfortable and welcoming space that she can truly call home. As she works to furnish her apartment and obtain essential household items, a toaster would be a practical addition to her kitchen. Simple appliances like a toaster can make preparing meals easier and more convenient, especially for someone who is establishing daily routines and learning to manage a household on their own. Whether it is making toast for breakfast, preparing a quick snack, or complementing a meal, a toaster is an item that can be used regularly and helps support independent living.
