Isaac made the difficult decision to leave his siblings in Los Angeles to get away from gang influences in his environment. He moved to a safe neighborhood to live with his aunt, where he had to adjust to a new life away from those negative pressures. Since the move, he has been able to re-enroll in high school, get a job, and obtain his driver’s license. Isaac now has strong support in place and is back on track with developing his independent living skills.

Isaac recently moved back to California to live with his grandmother and siblings after experiencing instances of racism while living in Iowa. He mentioned that he didn't feel like he belonged at school or in his neighborhood and felt it was important to return home to Los Angeles to support his siblings. Unfortunately, Isaac was unable to bring any large items with him from Iowa, and he is requesting a desk where he can both game and complete his homework assignments, as he is re-enrolling in school to obtain his diploma.
