He’s been shuffled from home to home, never finding stability, never truly belonging. The system has failed him, leaving him institutionalized and struggling to trust that anyone will stay. Like so many kids in his situation, he has tried to take control the only way he knew how—by running. But instead of finding safety, he ended up in a locked facility for his own protection.
Justin wants a Monopoly board game because it means more to him than just a game. For him, Monopoly is about spending time with others, making plans, and having fun together. After going through foster care and feeling lonely in a locked facility, he really misses being with people. Having his own game would help him connect with family and friends, creating happy memories and a sense of belonging that he has been missing for a long time.
