Martina just learned about a new apartment opportunity through Rapid Rehousing and plans to move in March. She’s excited but facing the challenge of moving out of her shelter with hardly any furniture. To build her financial stability and independence, she’s been working hard and participating in Breaktime to gain job skills. Martina is also focusing on understanding finances so she can furnish her new place affordably. One dream she has is to get a pink velvet bed frame. For her, pink represents comfort through the tough times she's been through. While it’s not an essential item, having that bed frame would make her new room feel complete and truly hers.
