A Kindle for Aislyn to read when she missing her sister

DHHS - Nebraska

Aislyn is a kind and compassionate girl who is actively involved in both the student council and the orchestra at her school. She has a passion for reading and enjoys listening to Taylor Swift. Aislyn aspires to pursue a degree in criminal psychology and is already earning college credits while still in high school. She is highly motivated and a dedicated worker. Aislyn has been separated from her sister and placed in different foster homes.

One of Aislyn’s favorite pastimes is reading. A Kindle would be the perfect way for her to occupy her mind when she misses her sister. It would give her the freedom to explore any book she desires without needing to ask her foster parents to purchase them for her. Since buying numerous books can add up quickly, this gift would not only be practical but also enable her to enjoy her passion for reading more independently. Although Aislyn is slowly adjusting to her new foster home, she still feels a bit uncomfortable asking them for money to buy books. A Kindle would provide her with the comfort of reading while alleviating that concern.
