San Diego Youth ServicesDasie is strong and independent, and knows what she wants out of life. She is not afraid to advocate for herself and consistently demonstrates confidence and determination as she works toward her goals. After time in care, she moved into an extended foster care housing program where she has continued to build stability and independence. Family is very important to Dasie, and she maintains a solid and supportive relationship with them. The person who holds a particularly special place in her heart is her grandmother. Dasie often turns to her grandmother for advice, encouragement, and guidance, and their bond continues to be a meaningful source of strength in her life. Dasie also has a beloved dog named Pretty Girl, whom she considers her baby. Pretty Girl brings her comfort, companionship, and joy, and caring for her dog is something Dasie takes great pride in. Her long-term goal is to become a therapist, as she hopes to one day help and support others through their own life challenges. In her free time, Dasie enjoys spending time outdoors and connecting with nature. She loves going on walks, hanging out with friends, and cooking. These activities allow her to relax, recharge, and enjoy the simple things in life while continuing to stay focused on her future. Dasie’s determination, independence, and caring nature will continue to guide her as she works toward achieving her dreams.
Dasie is a responsible and determined young woman who takes great pride in caring for her dog, Pretty Girl, whom she lovingly considers her baby. Having Pretty Girl in her life brings Dasie companionship, comfort, and joy. However, being a dog owner also comes with its responsibilities, and Dasie is dedicated to being the best pet owner she can be. Recently, Dasie has faced some challenges while raising Pretty Girl in her apartment. Pretty Girl has caused some damage in the home, which has unfortunately resulted in a few fees for Dasie. Rather than becoming discouraged, Dasie took the initiative to look for solutions that would allow both her and Pretty Girl to thrive in their living environment. Dasie found dog training classes that she believes would greatly benefit Pretty Girl by teaching her important behaviors and helping to prevent future issues. Dasie is willing and able to cover the cost of the training classes herself, demonstrating her dedication and commitment to her pet. However, transportation to and from these classes has become a significant barrier for her. Dasie could use some assistance with reliable transportation to attend the dog training sessions with Pretty Girl. This support would ensure that Pretty Girl receives the training she needs while helping Dasie maintain a stable and positive living environment in her apartment. This opportunity would mean a great deal to Dasie, as it aligns with her efforts to be a responsible pet owner and continue building a healthy home for both herself and Pretty Girl. With a little help getting to these training sessions, Dasie can take a crucial step forward in creating a better future for both of them.
