CA DCFS - Los Angeles CountyChristian was born with a positive toxicology screening and has been in foster care since infancy. His parents have struggled with significant substance abuse issues. Despite these challenges, Christian has developed a range of interests, including collecting memorabilia, reading, art, and biking. Now a senior in high school, he plans to major in business and attend college.
Christian is on track to graduate and has shown an interest in photography. He is an active member of the photography club, but doesn't own a camera like many of his peers do. This situation makes Christian feel left out, as he often has to borrow cameras from his friends. Unfortunately, his caregivers can't afford to buy him a camera. Having his own camera would not only help him engage more fully in his passion but also give him a sense of belonging within the club. Christian hopes to pursue a career in photography in the near future, and owning his own camera would be a significant step in that direction.
