Nicki is an art student with a powerful story of resilience. Growing up with an abusive, addicted mother and constantly moving between her mother’s abusive relationships, Nicki was forced to take on responsibilities far beyond her years. After an eviction at age 14, she left home and has been on her own ever since. Throughout these challenges, art became her emotional outlet, allowing her to express feelings she could never share with the adults around her. Today, Nicki continues to use art as a therapeutic tool and hopes to pursue a career in the field, telling her story and inspiring others through her work.

Nicki is requesting an Apple Pencil to help her complete her art projects for school. This gift would enable her to fully express her creativity and reach her artistic potential. With the Apple Pencil, creating art would become more accessible and enjoyable for her.
