At just 16, she and her sister found a true sense of belonging after moving in with their grandparents following their time in foster care. This new environment provided them with the stability and love they had longed for. When she’s not buried in her textbooks, Valerie loves to cook, often whipping up delicious meals that she enjoys sharing with family and friends. She also likes to host game nights filled with laughter and friendly competition. On sunny days, you can find her riding her bike around the neighborhood, soaking up the fresh air and enjoying the little moments of joy that come her way.
Valerie is hoping for a Starbucks gift card to enjoy coffee with her friends. For her, getting coffee is about the time spent together, connecting, laughing, and chatting. Meeting at Starbucks would allow her to relax, catch up, and feel included in those important moments with friends.
