He believes that if he had remained in his previous situation before foster care, he wouldn't be where he is today, both physically and mentally.

Jeremy is asking for a new pair of sneakers to support his daily routine. His current shoes are worn out and no longer provide the comfort or support he needs. At the moment, his car is not working, so he has to walk from the campus apartments to main campus every day for classes and activities.
