This is Jem's first experience in foster care, and despite everything he’s been through, he continues to shine. He’s incredibly smart and has a natural curiosity that makes him stand out. Before coming into care, video games were his way of mentally escaping tough moments, giving him a sense of comfort and control. Now, with support and stability, he’s beginning to rebuild and discover healthier ways to cope while still enjoying the things he loves

Jem tends to be a little shy and often watches other kids play before feeling brave enough to join in. Recently, he saw a group of kids playing with this toy and was so excited by it, sharing how much he wished he had a set of his own. For him, it’s more than just a toy; it’s a way to connect. Having his own set would give him a comfortable and natural reason to approach other kids and invite them to play, helping him slowly come out of his shell and build the friendships he truly wants. Something as simple as this toy could open the door to laughter, shared moments, and the confidence that comes from finally feeling included.
