A shower chart for Jax who needs visual reminders for daily routines
Jax, 8 years old, NJ
Wish submitted by:
KFS&CJax is a sweet boy whose smile lights up the room. Like most children his age, he loves Paw Patrol, Cocomelon, and Sesame Street. However, Jax is different because he has been diagnosed with autism, a sensory disorder, and a speech delay. For him, every day is a struggle to find ways to communicate with his family in a way they can understand. Jax experienced a breakthrough when he spoke his first word at the age of five; his first word was "mama."
Jax is a visual learner who really benefits from seeing clear steps. A colorful washing-up chart would be super helpful for him as he learns to shower on his own. A fun chart showing each part of showering, like turning on the water, applying soap, rinsing off, and drying himself, would help Jax feel more confident and understand what to do. With each picture, he could follow the shower routine easily, turning a tricky task into something enjoyable and manageable. This simple tool would help Jax be more independent and make learning how to care for himself a fun experience!
