Day is a fighter and a resilient young man who hopes to make something of himself one day. He is a survivor of domestic violence and is currently in foster care. Despite having a learning disability, he is doing everything he can to maintain his grades in school. One of the hardest challenges he has faced is the separation from his younger sister. The two of them were very close, but they had to be separated in order to find appropriate placements. Despite all the difficulties he has endured, Day strives to keep a positive attitude. He aspires to attend college and study engineering. He truly believes that, in the future, he will look back and see that everything he has gone through was necessary for him to achieve his destiny.

Day is an incredible young man who has faced significant hardships from an early age. Despite these challenges, he always manages to keep a smile on his face as he works hard in school. Day currently needs new sneakers for gym class, as his old ones are worn out and no longer fit him. The condition of his sneakers also affects him mentally, especially when his peers tease him about their appearance. Having new shoes would mean the world to him, as they would help keep him comfortable during class.
