Emmaily came to visit her aunt, but her mother never returned to pick her up. Her mom struggles with addiction. Despite this, Emmaily is doing well in school. She easily makes friends and enjoys connecting with people from different backgrounds. She loves playing soccer and also enjoys drawing, especially flags from different countries. Emmaily is curious about the origins of these flags and the histories of the countries they represent. Additionally, she enjoys painting.

Emmaily’s family faced a tough time when they were on the brink of eviction, having to sell everything they owned while approaching homelessness. Fortunately, they have now secured stable housing. Currently, Emmaily is sharing a twin mattress with her aunt, but she dreams of having a new bed of her own for her room.
