Blaise came into the care of Ascentria's Unaccompanied Refugee Minors Program in 2023 after leaving his home country of Cameroon in search of a better life. Blaise is actively working on independent living skills as he prepares for adulthood and emancipation from foster care. Blaise lives in a group home setting with several other youth.

Blaise is currently working on developing independent living skills to prepare for his transition to independence once he leaves foster care. He is passionate about becoming a licensed barber and has been practicing by giving haircuts to the other youth at his group home. Blaise has received approval to set up a mini "barbershop" at his residence. This setup will allow him to continue honing his skills while providing a valuable self-care service to his fellow youth in foster care.
